The \u201cClimate School\u201d is organizing an intensive training over the course of two days, March 20 and 21, 2024, entitled \u201cThe Roles that Women Play in Confronting Climate Change,\u201d with a grant from the Mentoring Center for Emerging Media Initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa program, affiliated with the International Journalists\u2019 Network.<\/p>\n

The training was provided by trainers Rahma Diaa and Hadir Al-Hadary. It includes four training sessions distributed over two days to learn about the causes of women\u2019s vulnerability to climate change and the positive impact that their participation in climate action can have, in addition to training on extracting and developing ideas, the method of human narration, and attractive visual presentation.<\/p>\n

Applications are open to male and female journalists in the Middle East and North Africa region. At the end of the training, participants receive a certificate of participation on the condition of attending the entire two days of training. The Guidance Center Program Grant for Emerging Media Initiatives also includes providing two grants to produce a climate story on the subject of the training, for the two best proposals sent by Participants in the training, and participants receive the grant after publishing the stories.<\/p>\n
