In cooperation with the “Climate School” initiative, the Training Center of the Journalists Syndicate announces a training grant for journalists on “Climate Journalism.”
The course will be implemented and conducted over four training days from February 16 to February 19, 2025 at the headquarters of the Journalists Syndicate in Cairo, Egypt.
Day 1: “Climate Journalism Basics”, which includes developing journalistic ideas and humanizing climate stories, presented by the trainer: Hadeer El-Hadary, Managing Editor of the Arabic website of ESG Mena.
Day 2: “Climate Solutions Journalism and Producing Stories on Gender and Climate Justice Issues”, presented by the trainer: Rahma Diaa, journalist and founder of “Climate School”
Day 3: “Producing climate investigative reports, producing stories on biodiversity issues, and covering international conferences,” presented by the trainer: Alia Abu Shehba, Assistant Editor-in-Chief of “Rose Al-Youssef.”
Day 4: “Producing data-driven climate stories and verifying climate stories”, presented by the trainer: Maha Salah El-Din, Head of the Verification and Data Department at “Al-Masry Al-Youm”, and Data Editor in the Arab Verification Community.
